About The Event
This workshop will explore the connection between what and how we eat and mental health.
The connection between mental health, gut health and food is now being recognised and understood. As counsellors should we explore this with clients, and if so how?
This workshop is designed to enable you to deepen your understanding of this important area.
Understanding the impact of food and nutrition can be really important when working with mental health issues. The day is designed to enable you to explore your own relationship to food, and will introduce you to ways of using food to nourish mind, body and soul. We will engage in exercises using mindful eating, and participants will also have the opportunity to make and eat food as art via the creation of a smoothie bowl.
