POEM: Reflect...

Come sit down and reflect for a while

Pleasant and slowly let’s bring to the boil

The troubles struggling away and suppressed

Are you indisputable up for the test?

No ducking or diving or even conniving

Shame and guilt pointing fingers of blame

That’s noble someone else’s game

Trampled again and again always the same

The mirror image reflecting the flame

The face of a man burning in pain

Fooling the fool that has travelled the world

Reflection today I think is adjourned

The bartender calls same again my friend.
